We are looking for the best project of social entrepreneurship in the world


Chivas Spain presented the second edition of the international competition The Venture.

The winner will receive up to one million dollars of funding to grow his/her start-up

Chivas Regal presents the second edition of The Venture, first edition in Spain of a global initiative that looks for innovative projects of social entrepreneurship in the world. With over a million dollars of funds and resources, The Venture, which was presented at the fourth edition of South Summit, is an open call to all successful start-ups not only capable of generating financial value, but also an impact positive in the lives of people.

The venture will also include Chivas Council, a council made up of professionals of reference in the world of entrepreneurship whose members will be a sort of ambassadors to advise the finalists.

Following its launch in October 2014, the first edition of The Venture brought together participants from 16 countries. This year the competition will have an even greater number of social entrepreneurs around the world, increasing the number of nationalities 25 and welcoming the call to countries like Spain, Poland, Panama or Peru. The most promising proposal each country will be selected as a global finalist to qualify for a share of the prize of 1 million dollars to finance the project.

All finalists will participate in The Venture’s Accelerator Week, where they receive training and business advice in addition to the tutelage of some of the largest and most influential names in the world of entrepreneurship. In addition, each finalist will have the opportunity to make known their start-up worldwide.

In order to track the development of The Venture and to know the path of winning finalist of the first edition of the contest, the director Ben Addleman-winning documentary, which is in turn one of the curators of Chivas, filmed ‘How save the world (and get rich in the attempt), “a documentary divided into five parts which show the factors that determine social entrepreneurship, the universe of possibilities that are start-ups willing to invest in creating change and, with the help of the top finalists of the last edition, analyze what is needed to carry it out.
