MULTIVERSO Grants to Creation in Video Art

Video art and artistic creation in the Internet are an area of ​​special interest for the Art and Culture program of the BBVA Foundation.

The modalities of the impulse of video art are the calls of scholarships to the creation, the commission of works, the realization of exhibitions and the organization of workshops and meetings of videoartists and with students of artistic specialties in which the videoart and the digital creation occupy a prominent place.

The call for the MULTIVERSO Creation Scholarships in Videoart has the collaboration of the Museum of Fine Arts of Bilbao, an institution fully committed to the dissemination of contemporary artistic events.

The main objective is to support the creative work of Spanish video artists, as well as video artists of other nationalities who have residency in Spain and promote the dissemination of the works resulting from this call.

Ten grants will be given. The maximum gross amount of each of the scholarships will be 30,000 euros, which must be used entirely for the production of the work. The video art work must be produced within a minimum period of one year after the beneficiary signs the commitment to accept the scholarship.

The deadline to submit applications is until November 20 at 7:00 p.m. The resolution of the call will be made public no later than February 1, 2019.
