Elizabeth Neuffer Scholarship for women journalists
Aimed at women journalists who work in print, audiovisual or online media, and cover topics related to human rights and social justice, they can apply for a one-year scholarship.
The International Women’s Media Foundation (IWMF) is accepting applications for the Elizabeth Neuffer Grant, named after the Boston Globe correspondent and winner of that organization’s Courage in Journalism Award, who died in Iran in May 2003.
The selected journalist will dedicate an academic year to the realization of a personalized program that includes access to the Center for International Studies of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and to media outlets such as The Boston Globe and The New York Times.
Applicants must have a minimum of three years of journalism experience and an excellent command of English in order to participate and fully benefit from the program. Freelance journalists can also apply.
The scholarship will cover the cost of airfare and accommodation, and will also provide a stipend and health insurance.
Those interested may apply until March 7.
