BCN Film Fest
The third edition of the Barcelona-Sant Jordi International Film Festival (BCN Film Fest) offers a selection of films from the international scene related in a broad sense to literature and / or history. Following this criterion, the programming of the Official Section is devoted, preferentially, to the adaptations of literary works, the productions with historical background and the biographical films about important personalities.
The BCN Film Fest aims to maintain a close link with the cultural and popular character of the emblematic Saint George’s Day. This celebration coincides with the dates of the contest (from April 22 to 30). This year there are 18 titles from 10 different countries, of which 13 will have their world or Spanish premiere.
The idea is to offer a festival close to an interesting audience for cinema and culture in general, where proposals with artistic aspirations and popular proposals can be accommodated, all with a common denominator: quality.
This festival believes in the pedagogical possibilities of cinema and, for this reason, an outstanding part of its programming is aimed at schools, with the intention that teachers and students use films as a didactic resource to study certain subjects.
