Aid for the production of short films on projects for 2019 is summoned, with an allocation of 600,000 euros
The General Directorate of the Institute of Cinematography and Audiovisual Arts (ICAA) has published the Resolution on May 10, 2019, which calls for aid to the production of short films about the project for the current year 2019.
They are convened for the year 2019, mediate regime of concurrence of short films on project. The deadline for submitting applications, accompanied by the mandatory documentation, will begin on the following day of the publication of the extract of the Resolution in the Official State Gazette and will end on June 17, 2019, at 2:00 p.m.
The budget for these grants is 600,000 euros. The maximum amount of the aid will be 30,500 euros per beneficiary project, without any case that amount may exceed 75% of the cost that in its day be recognized to the short film by the Institute of Cinematography and the Audiovisual Arts. In the case of short films that are made in co-production with foreign companies, said cost recognition will only refer to the percentage of Spanish participation in them. The same project may be submitted to a maximum of three calls for this line of aid in different budgetary years.
Access to regulated aid in this call may be granted to independent production companies, including economic interest groups. Each producer company or set of related producers can only benefit from a maximum of two grants. In the case of short films made under the international co-production regime, the Spanish co-producer or permanent resident in Spain will have access to the aid.
The short film projects that are the object of these aids, including those made under co-production with foreign companies, must have Spanish nationality or be able to obtain it. The application and the forms that are part of the same must be submitted through the electronic headquarters of the Ministry of Culture and Sports.
